Uses
1. Used for maintenance welding, steel casting and manufacturing of refreshing drinks, used as a preservative and refrigerant for fruits and vegetables, etc.
2. Widely used in the preservation and storage of fish, cream, ice cream and other foods and low-temperature transportation, etc.
3. Used in thermal oxidation, epitaxial diffusion, chemical vapor deposition, ion implantation nitridation, etc. in the preparation process of semiconductor devices, and also used for atomic power generation and food freezing
4. Uses Gas carbon dioxide is mainly used as a raw material for the production of soda ash, fertilizers (ammonium bicarbonate, urea) and synthetic methanol and inorganic salt industries. It is also used for quenching steel castings and manufacturing lead white, and is also used to make dry ice, etc. Liquid carbon dioxide is used for welding, fermentation industry, cooling and refreshing drinks, sugar industry, medical local anesthesia, and is also used as a large-scale cast steel anti-foaming agent, plant growth promoter, antioxidant and fire extinguishing agent, etc. Solid carbon dioxide is used in penicillin production, fish, cream, ice cream and other food storage and low-temperature transportation, etc.
5. Carbonating agent; packaging gas; preservative; refrigerant; extractant; leavening agent; gas conditioning agent; Ph regulator; processing aid.
6. As a preservative, my country stipulates that it can be used for sparkling wine and carbonated beverages, and it should be used in appropriate amounts according to production needs.
7. Used as food expander, loosening agent, etc.
Production method
1. In industry, carbon dioxide is a byproduct of limestone calcination or fermentation, and a byproduct of hydrocarbon-steam reformers for the production of ammonia, gasoline and other chemical products. Carbon dioxide can be recovered from flue gas (mainly composed of nitrogen and carbon dioxide), and can also be directly obtained from natural gas wells rich in carbon dioxide.
2. CO2 is usually a byproduct of alcohol fermentation and synthetic ammonia production, and can also be produced by calcining limestone. It is washed, purified, and compressed into liquid CO2.
3. The gas produced by sugar fermentation to produce alcohol is generally washed, purified, dried, cooled, and compressed into liquid.
4. The carbon dioxide gas produced during the high-temperature calcination of limestone (or dolomite) by the calcination method is washed, impurity-removed, and compressed to produce gaseous carbon dioxide. Its CaCO3[high temperature]→CaO+CO2↑ fermentation gas recovery method produces carbon dioxide gas produced during ethanol fermentation, which is washed, impurity-removed, and compressed to produce carbon dioxide gas. The production of ammonia, hydrogen and synthetic ammonia by by-product gas recovery often involves a decarbonization process (i.e., removal of carbon dioxide from the gas mixture). High-purity carbon dioxide gas can be obtained by absorbing carbon dioxide in the mixed gas under pressure and desorbing it by heating under reduced pressure.
